About the authors: Aaron Cooper, Ph.D., and Eric Keitel, M.Ed.

AARON COOPER, Ph.D., has been counseling families for over thirty years. From 1985 until 2003, he was a member of the Department of Psychiatry at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco. He received a bachelor's degree cum laude from Harvard University, a master's in teaching from Northwestern University, and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Loyola University of Chicago. He is currently the Director of FamilyMattersOnline for the Family Institute at Northwestern University.
ERIC KEITEL, M.Ed., has been a teacher and school administrator since 1992. He served as the founding head of the middle school at the Hausner Day School in Palo Alto, California, and since 2003 has been the Director of Family Education at Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School in Chicago. He received a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and a masters in educational administration from San Francisco State University.
